Families at Risk: Cost of Proposed Medicaid and HUSKY A Changes to the Connecticut Economy

CT can expect to lose over $96 million in federal funding if changes to CT's Medicaid program are implemented as planned in the state budget. Among other economic effects, this reduction in federal funding can be expected to cause a loss of nearly 1,800 jobs. Includes a supplemental brief on "The Impact of Premiums on Pregnant Women in Medicaid". The briefs were co-authored by staff at CT Voices for Children and the Health Policy Institute at Georgetown University. The report was commissioned by the CT Health Foundation and the Anthem Foundation of CT.

Joan Alker (Georgetown Health Policy Institute) and Judith Solomon (Connecticut Voices for Children), March 2004
